BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Lauren Oakley hit with major blow before live show

by · NottinghamshireLive

Strictly Come Dancing's Lauren Oakley and JB Gill have encountered a significant hurdle just hours before the next live BBC show. Following last weekend's annual trip to Blackpool, the seven remaining pairs are set to return to the dance floor on Saturday (November 23), hoping to impress judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsy Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, as well as the home audience.

Karen Carney, Briony May Williams and Dominic Skinner were guests on Friday's (November 22) episode of Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, where they discussed who they believe could be at risk this weekend. In conversation with host Janette Manrara, each shared their predictions, with both Dominic and Briony selecting JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, and Karen opting for Pete Wicks and Jowita Przysta.

As we approach the season's midpoint, the standards continue to rise, with Sarah Hadland, Chris McCausland and Tasha Ghouri consistently impressing and occupying the top three positions on the Strictly leaderboard over the weekend, reports the Mirror. This weekend, Montell Douglas and Johanness Radebe aim to recover from last week's dreaded dance-off against Wynne Evans and Katya Jones by performing the Quickstep to Ella Fitzgerald's Get Happy.

Sarah and her partner Vito Coppola will perform the Rumba to Chains by Tina Arena, while Tasha and Aljaz Skorjanec will present an American Smooth to Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved.

Chris and Dianne Buswell are set to perform the Paso Doble in week 10, dancing to El Gato Montes by Manuel Panella. Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas will be showcasing their Foxtrot skills to Stand By Me by Ben E, reports the Manchester Evening News.

King. JB and Lauren have been assigned the Charleston, with Yes Sir! That's My Baby by Firehouse Five Plus Two as their chosen song.

Meanwhile, Pete and Jowita hope to steer clear of the bottom two with a Tango performance to Easy Lover by Philip Bailey, Phil Collins.
