'Hilarious' sitcom which fans think 'deserves a spin-off' now streaming in its entirety on Netflix

Comedy enthusiasts are in for a treat as one of the most beloved sitcoms has just dropped in full for streaming, setting up for an ideal weekend marathon.

Collider calls the show "a hilarious series that provides plenty of laughs, courtesy of its impeccable writing and wildly funny cast."

Meanwhile, The Guardian praised its third season, commenting: "[It's] zippy in the way that 30 Rock is zippy, and there is rarely a scene or a line that doesn't at least reach for a laugh."

Featuring Glenn Howerton, renowned for his role in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, this series is touted as a fantastic pick for viewers who have enjoyed English Teacher, the new comedy on Disney+.

The show is none other than AP Bio, starring Howerton as the down-and-out Harvard professor Jack Griffin, who ends up teaching advanced placement biology back in his old stomping ground, reports the Mirror.

Yet, rather than educating his students in biology, he instead enlists them in a vengeful plot against Miles Leonard (played by Tom Bennett), the nemesis who snagged the position he desired.

Unfortunately, despite fervent viewer support, AP Bio was cancelled in 2021 following a turbulent stint, originally axed by NBC after two seasons, then revived by Peacock for two more years.

Fans were disheartened when the show concluded, especially with several unresolved storylines lingering post-season four.

A fan took to Reddit to express their thoughts: "Season four went absolutely off the rails and catered more to the specific actors and their strengths with the characters.

"I really enjoyed it a lot. The cult episode was insane in the best possible way. I'll miss the show."

Another fan responded: "Yeah that's why despite being grateful it got an additional two seasons, I'm still a tad gutted they'll be no more. Would have loved to see what levels of insanity they reached next."

A third enthusiast shared their opinion: "Hot take apparently but seasons 3-4 were the best imo. Some eps felt like those crazy Community episodes. The fanfic one from season four was brilliant! Sad to see it go."

Upon hearing the news of AP Bio's cancellation, another person remarked: "Ah that's a shame. I only started watching it relatively recently and had fun with it, felt like it was becoming a lot more confident in season four."

"Damn wish we knew so we could have had some closure ending," another viewer commented.

One fan even proposed: "They better make a spinoff about Heather (Allisyn Snyder) going to college."

Agreeing with this sentiment, another added: "I'm not emotionally prepared to say goodbye to Heather,".

Regrettably, there are no current plans for an AP Bio season five or spin-off. However, Howerton continues to thrive alongside Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

AP Bio is available to stream on Netflix.
