BBC Strictly Come Dancing star may leave show after 'final dance'
by James Rodger · NottinghamshireLiveA BBC Strictly Come Dancing favourite is poised to bid farewell, with his "final dance" expected on Saturday night. Pete Wicks, known for his role in ITV's The Only Way Is Essex, is tipped as the likely next departure from this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Despite avoiding the dance-off last week, odds suggest his time on the show could be up, with BetMGM offering odds of 3/5 for his exit this weekend. Close behind him is BBC Gladiators' Montell Douglas, who also came close to leaving in the previous episode, with odds of 5/4.
Sam Behar, UK Director at BetMGM, commented: "Pete Wicks looks set for his last dance on Strictly this weekend as we are seeing lots of money on the former TOWIE star to be the next eliminated. He's currently the heavy favourite to be the next to exit the show at 3/5 with former Olympian Montell Douglas currently at 5/4."
Betway's Mike Reading analysed the situation, saying: "Last week, Pete Wicks avoided waltzing off the show despite landing at the bottom of the leaderboard. However, the latest odds suggest his luck is running out, as he's the 8/11 favourite to leave this weekend."
"Unless Pete delivers a show-stopping performance on Saturday night, he's very likely to be in the dreaded dance-off, and it's hard to see him pirouetting past his competition. His potential saving grace could be Montell, who is also in the elimination spotlight with odds of 13/8.", reports Birmingham Live.
While contemplating the potential champions of the dance floor, Mike observed: "Meanwhile, Chris McCausland looks like he's gliding effortlessly toward the final, remaining the rock-solid 1/4 favourite to win the show. His main competition Sarah (11/2) and Tasha (6/1) are still in the running to get their hands on the Glitterball Trophy but face an increasingly uphill tango to unseat the comedian and his devoted fanbase."
