by Kate Lally · NottinghamshireLiveDavina McCall, the TV presenter famed for her role in Big Brother among other shows, has given a health update following an operation to remove a brain tumour. The benign tumour was discovered unexpectedly during a routine health check that she believed she would "ace".
Davina informed her numerous social media followers about her upcoming surgery and subsequent recovery period, asking them to keep her in their prayers. She also assured them that her boyfriend Michael Douglas would provide updates on her progress as she would be "off grid for a while".

She updated her followers on her condition, saying: "I'm on the other side. My short term memory's a bit, um, remiss. But that is something I can work on so I'm really happy about that. I'm writing down everything I'm doing, to keep myself feeling safe. I'm resting, I'm on the mend."
In the caption of the post, she thanked her boyfriend @mdlondon, who she declared as the 'best boyfriend ever', and her mother @gabbamccall, whom she awarded the 'best mum ever' title, reports Bristol Live.
"For being the best grandma ... and mumma ever. I am feeling much better. Had a great night's sleep in my own bed. Have a couple of sleeps during the day which keeps my brain clear ... slowly, slowly... huge gratitude, and love for the world and my life and the beautiful people in it."
"Thank you to all my friends. You are the best. Thank you to @clevelandclinic and my amazing neurosurgeon, Kevin. I love you. Thank you Sydney, Sarah, and all the amazing beautiful souls that cared for me. Get used to this. It's going to be pouring out of me."
