BBC Strictly pro left devastated as they make shock discovery

Strictly Come Dancing favourite Michelle Tsiakkas has been hit with further heartbreak after being disqualified from this year's pro challenge. The 29 year old had recently left the competition with her partner Jamie Borthwick, due to receiving the lowest public votes in the dance-off last week.

The disappointing news kept coming for Michelle during Wednesday’s It Takes Two episode (27 November), where it emerged that she was also out of the pro challenge. This year’s challenge among the Strictly professionals was to see who could perform the most Cha Cha Cha time steps in 30 seconds.

Appearing on the It Takes Two couch with presenter Janette Manrara and fellow dancer Katya Jones, Michelle learned her fate. However, while the results were shared, host Janette delivered unfortunate news - although Michelle accomplished 11 cha cha chas, her steps were not counted due to misplaced footing, to which Michelle responded, "I'm heartbroken."

Katya didn’t fare much better, managing to complete 17 steps but having only three steps count. After her Strictly exit last week, Michelle took to Instagram to express how challenging the experience had been, reports the Mirror.

Taking to Instagram, the star wrote a heartfelt message: "Ah partner, our journey sadly comes to an end... But what a journey it's been. I meant it when I said that you have been the best first partner I could have wished for! " and continued with praises, "Be proud...because we worked hard and really made the most of the time we had with you working 2 full on jobs at the same time."

They also highlighted the challenges faced in the previous week, stating, "This past week was your toughest yet with work, we realistically had 2 days to put it all together, and look what we achieved, a beautiful foxtrot which we both enjoyed dancing so much."

The star concluded by touching on their shared experience and companionship, saying, "This experience was both of our firsts, and we stuck by each other through the highs and lows and everything in between and that in itself is so special. I want to thank you for your trust in me as a teacher and your commitment every week on that dance floor. You ALWAYS gave 100%."
