Ant and Dec slam Jane Moore off-screen for 'unfair' attack on I'm A Celeb campmates

Ant and Dec have criticised Jane Moore for her 'unfair' accusations of sexism and ageism against Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones. Jane had expressed dissatisfaction with being assigned washing-up duties by the new camp leaders, Danny and Barry, suggesting their decision was influenced by age and gender biases, reports the Mirror.

Reflecting on the post-show tensions, Ant remarked: "I think she is being a bit unfair by saying it's sexist and ageist. I think they were just trying to do a good job in allocating fairly, if I'm honest."

Dec concurred, saying: "Yes, I agree. I feel for Barry, he was only trying to do his best."

Ant also sympathised, adding: "Poor little Barry."

Earlier, Ant had noted the value of a bit of friction in the camp, stating: "It's good to have a little bit of tetchiness in there."

He elaborated on the common source of disagreements, saying: "I am not surprised as it's always about the chores. It's always around the leader and who they give the chores to. It's either that or the cooking."

The Loose Women presenter, aged 62, was tasked with washing up alongside Tulisa. Prior to this, Danny and Barry were seen considering which campmates should take on various jobs.

During their discussion, Danny suggested: "Shall we talk chefs first, obviously me and Melvin can't do that," and Barry considered the need for strength and stamina for wood duty. When Danny proposed Jane for washing up, he questioned: "I think we have to put Jane on washing up but the only thing I want to say is have we gone a bit male heavy on the strenuous jobs? ".

Barry responded, acknowledging the concern: "I think that's a fair comment but I don't think they'd thank us after a few days."

After announcing that Jane and Tulisa were assigned to washing-up duties, Jane exclaimed: "Oh what? Is that because we're women? " Barry suggested that since Jane was 62, a year younger than him, she might prefer a less strenuous task. However, Jane retorted, calling his comment "so ageist and sexist."

Later, Oti Mabuse remarked: "You could cut the tension with a knife."

Jane later grumbled to Danny: "Those were my last words as you walked past me, 'please not cleaning', and you've given me cleaning."

She added: "I'm not upset, I'm just saying it's women doing the washing up again.'As well as Ant and Dec, her comments have sparked a strong reaction on social media with many saying her attack was unjustified. Barry and Danny were later spotted looking crestfallen.Earlier in the show Coleen Rooney branded Donald Trump a " Her comments have sparked a strong reaction on social media, with many arguing her attack was unjustified.

Barry and Danny were later seen looking disheartened. Earlier in the show, Coleen Rooney labelled Donald Trump a "dirty bastard".

The 38 year old recounted meeting the US president-elect with her former England captain husband Wayne when their family was living in the US during Sunday's episode. Discussing her encounter, she told her fellow campmates: "When we lived in America, we got invited to the White House for Christmas and we went in to meet Donald Trump."

"And so we walked in and we had to get the official photograph taken in front of the Christmas tree."

"So Donald Trump said to his son 'See? Told you, all the soccer players get the good-looking girls'. And I told my mum, I was like 'dirty bastard'."
