ITV I'm A Celeb Coleen Rooney claims Donald Trump made 'awkward' comment about her
by George Allen, Joel Leaver · NottinghamshireLiveCampmate Coleen Rooney has opened up about the time she met former US president Donald Trump, recounting the experience during her stint on I'm A Celebrity this weekend. The 38 year old star is one of the celebrities on the new series of the ITV reality show, which kicked off last week.
She's been sharing personal stories with her campmates in the Australian jungle and mentioned living in America during Sunday night's episode.
Coleen, together with her husband Wayne Rooney, who is now 39 and retired from professional football, spent time in Washington, D.C.
with their four children between 2018 and 2019. Wayne was playing for D.C. United at that time, reports the Mirror.
The couple, along with their sons Kai, currently aged 15, Klay, aged 11, Kit, aged eight, and Cass, aged six, attended a Christmas party at the White House in December 2018 where they were the guests of honour, as reported by Birmingham Mail.
During the latest I'm A Celebrity episode, Coleen brought up the memorable visit to the White House among her fellow campmates. Recalling the encounter, she said: "When we lived in America, we were invited to the White House for Christmas and we went in to meet ... so it was Donald Trump [who was President]."
She added to the conversation: "So we walked in and we got to get like y'know the official photograph taken in front of the Christmas tree and stuff. So Donald Trump said to his son 'see? Told ya, all the soccer players get the good looking girls'. And I told my mum - I was like 'dirty b*****d'."
Coleen went on to reveal that Trump, who is now 78, had "wanted Wayne to go over to like teach his son ... like play football with his son."
This revelation came during a chat on 'I'm A Celebrity' where she reminisced about her visit to the White House six years ago. At that time, it was widely reported that Trump's son Barron, who is now 18, was an avid fan of the football star Wayne and the sport itself.
In the same conversation, McFly's Danny Jones, also in the camp, quizzed Coleen about her impressions of the former US president, asking: "Is he that orange? " To which Coleen responded with a laugh: "He was very orange! ".
