I'm A Celeb's Jane Moore 'to be first star voted off' as campmate becomes new favourite to win
by George Allen, Michelle Marshall · NottinghamshireLiveJane Moore has joined the star-studded line-up in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, but the regular on the Loose Women panel might be heading towards turmoil. Since her arrival Down Under, alongside big names such as Coleen Rooney, Maura Higgins, and Oti Mabuse, Jane had been taking the ITV show in her stride.
However, during Sunday's (November 24) episode, a sense of unrest seemed to disturb Jane's typically unflappable demeanour. After camp leaders Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones assigned daily tasks to their campmates, a heated dispute ensued, tainted by accusations of sexism.
The choice to have Jane, 62, and N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos, 36, on dishwashing duty ignited friction. Challenged by her task, Jane confronted the decision by asking, "Is that because we're women? " Former boxer Barry promptly countered any suggestions of gender bias, explaining: "We were looking at you for possible water, and I thought that you're 62 years old, you're a year younger than me..." Yet, Jane interrupted him to label the job allocation "ageist and sexist", emphatically stating: "I have emptied the dunny, tended the fire on my own solidly for nine days, and you've given me the one job I don't want."
With bookies now adjusting their predictions dramatically, Jane's chances of an early exit from the Australian bush are increasing drastically; her odds stand at 5/4, reports the Express.
Meanwhile, Danny Jones has seen a soaring rise in popularity, with his odds to be crowned King of the Jungle at 5/6.
Coral's John Hill has suggested that Jane Moore is the most likely to be the first contestant to leave the jungle this year. "In the outright market, Danny Jones continues to prove popular, and he is odds-on to be crowned King of the Jungle," added Hill.
Melvin Odoom is the second favourite to leave the jungle at 5/2, while Dean McCullough is 3/1. In other news, Jane's Loose Women co-star Ruth Langsford is set to enter the jungle but not as a show contestant.
The former This Morning presenter is heading Down Under to appear on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'s spinoff show, Unpacked. She was all smiles when she was pictured at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday.
