BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans say 'it's beyond a joke' as they work out who leaves after spoiler

by · NottinghamshireLive

Strictly Come Dancing aficionados were left in utter dismay when the identity of the latest contestant to depart was prematurely leaked online. The results show, which follows on from the live show and is recorded immediately after it, witnesses audience members being privy to the outcomes, including who faces the dance-off and who gets cut from the contest.

Social media was abuzz with fan reactions as they expressed their shock. One fan exclaimed: "Now I'm really shocked at this result. No way should XX have left at this stage." Another lamented: "XX was completely stitched up this week." while a third chimed in with a gobsmacked: "No way what the hell."

An additional comment read: "OH HELL NO! ! .. It's beyond a joke now. XX could've easily been in the final.", reports Birmingham Live.

Topping off the surprises, this week's leaderboard had an intriguing twist: the introduction of a Samba-thon in week 10. In a true test of endurance, akin to the grueling dance-a-thons of yesteryear, all couples hit the floor simultaneously, competing until judges eliminate the weaker duos one by one – leaving just the triumphant pair standing.

Even though the scores at stake in the Samba-thon are modest compared to the protagonists' main performances, they can still significantly jolt the leaderboard since contestants earn two sets of marks—one for their main routine and one for the Samba-thon.

Amongst the top scorers, Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec continued to dazzle, leading the scoreboard following the show's first perfect score of the season. Their American Smooth not only prompted tears from judge Anton Du Beke but also rendered Shirley Ballas utterly speechless.

JB Gill and Lauren Oakley emerged victorious in the Samba-thon, while they came second. When combined with the 39 points they earned for their lively Charleston, the seven Samba-thon points were enough to place Gill and Oakley at the top of the leaderboard.

On the other hand, Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał, who performed a Tango, found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with a less than stellar score of 29, adding just three points from their Samba-thon performance. However, as regular viewers are aware, leaderboard positions don't necessarily dictate who will be eliminated, as public votes can significantly influence the outcome.

Despite being the bookies' favourite to exit the show this week, Pete was spared last week after finishing at the bottom of the leaderboard.
