Taking to social media using his brother John's phone, Edward expressed his shock late on Wednesday night: "Hi, it's Edward. Someone has stolen my phone so if anyone's trying to get in contact with me, don't be worried as I'm just really shaken right now! my whole life is on there."
He continued to share his gratitude for having his twin by his side and mentioned that he would be out of contact for a while: "I'm just really thankful to have John now but I won't be able to be contacted."

Edward also revealed that the shop had captured footage of the culprits: "The shop where I was robbed have the two criminal thieves on camera hopefully we can get them arrested and justice will be served and we'll crack down this phone stealing ring in London."
He concluded with thanks to those sending supportive messages: "My heart dropped! Thanks for your kind messages," reports the Irish Mirror.
This distressing event marks the second mugging incident involving Edward in London. Previously in October 2023, he was robbed by two masked individuals on bikes. Recounting the earlier incident on X, formerly known as Twitter, he warned: "Be careful everyone, two masked guys tried to mug me on bikes as I was talking on the phone!" He described the experience as unexpected and alarming: "Obviously shaken but was not expecting it! Seems like it's happening all over London."
Edward detailed the physicality of the assault: "Felt my wrist and arm being grabbed from behind. It all happened so fast and didn't have [my twin brother] John next to me!" He ended his account with a concern for others' safety: "Just would hate this to happen to anyone else and being made feel vulnerable."
In a subsequent post, he shared his distress: "It's just horrendous that's people's whole life and memories on that phone. Stay safe."
He also conveyed the fear of the experience: "Just that feeling of what's happening and are they gonna come back with a knife or something. Thank God I had a petrol station near me to run into."
Moreover, he highlighted the reckless nature of the assailants: "It's so dangerous how they're targeting people in groups and seem to have no consideration of the after-effects".
