Following the announcement of new Mario-themed bundles in the US and certain other locations, Nintendo has now lifted the lid on three more bundles for the European market.

This includes two Switch Lite Animal Crossing: New Horizons bundles for £199.99 each that come with New Horizons pre-installed and include a 12-month Switch Online subscription:

"The Nintendo Switch Lite console bundles for Animal Crossing: New Horizons are available in two colours, with the Isabelle Aloha Edition sporting Coral and the Timmy & Tommy Aloha Edition featuring Turquoise. With designs inspired by the game, these cosy consoles let players bring their own island paradise with them wherever they go. Both bundles arrive with the game pre-installed, and a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership included."

And along with this, is a Nintendo Switch Sports bundle for £259.99 which comes with the Leg Strap accessory, a pre-installed copy of the game and a 12-month subscription:

"The Nintendo Switch console bundle with Neon Blue/Neon Red Joy-Con comes with Nintendo Switch Sports pre-installed and a Leg Strap accessory, as well as a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership. Anyone can grab a Joy-Con controller and use real-world movements to get their body moving in the latest title in the Wii Sports series, featuring eight action-packed sports: volleyball, badminton, basketball, bowling, football, chambara, tennis and golf. Players can use the included Leg Strap accessory to unleash impressive volleys in football, in both Shoot-Out mode and in one-on-one or four-on-four matches."

Sorry not interested in buying stuff made by a corporation that gatekeeps.

@RubyCarbuncle What are you referencing? I read gaming news daily so I probably know what you're talking about and it's just the combination of a long day and feeling tired, but currently I can't follow you.

@Nua The current Lawsuit with Palworld. I'm just expressing my discontent with it. Whether Pocket Pair are right or wrong I still feel Nintendo go around gatekeeping making it almost impossible for indie developers to pursue their own creative ideas.

@RubyCarbuncle Ah, yeah that makes sense. It was one of the few that could come to mind after I pressed send. I've meant to read more closely into that one anyway, it's been a long day... week... month. It's been a busy time for me.

Thanks for your reply.

@RubyCarbuncle Except they aren't gatekeeping indie devs? There's a ton of indie monster collectors that haven't been targeted by Nintendo- given they don't infringe upon their property?

Not to mention that PocketPair's CEO has mentioned in the past that Nintendo "Innovates too much," and how he wants to make games that have already been done before so he can cash in. Not anything actually original.

You're championing a studio that's literally helmed by a guy that creates games only to abandon them when he's made enough money. He has zero passion for actually making interesting games.

@RubyCarbuncle “making it almost impossible for indie developers to pursue their own creative ideas”

What an overstatement this is. Your penchant for exaggeration doesn’t help your case.

@RubyCarbuncle sounds like something a twelve year old would say

I've had my Switch since day one, I buy tons of games.
Every since GameCube I've been buying Nintendo systems since day 1!
It's weird how Nintendo gives anyone new a free full year of their online service, but not to their loyal fans!

I've never subscribed or used the free week trial!

This is not the announcement I'm looking for.

@RubyCarbuncle the lawsuit is about patent infringement, not copyright infringement.

Nintendo isn’t gatekeeping, they don’t want the code they’ve developed to be used for free elsewhere.

On topic: this means that all rumored bundles have now been revealed, right? Mario Wonder, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Switch Sports. They’re ok deals for newcomers, wondering whether Nintendo will lower prices for some of them to get as many last year sales as they can get.

Switch sports is an interesting title, since I feel like people were rather lukewarm on it as title, but it sold very well apparently so it must have been a good success.

I just want them to announce the Switch Oled bundle with Mario Wonder + 12 months subscription for America too.

Boring! I was hoping the Animal Crossing bundles would get new colors! I would love an Autumn-themed color scheme, with a spattering of golden leaves over the case. Even a Switch Lite that recreates the special edition AC Switch would have been fun!

Nintendo is making their 13 mil console sales target very apparent with how they want you to find some way to buy a Switch bundle lol
