We're getting closer to the final month of the year and that means the blue blur is ready to return in the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie.

To build excitement, Sega has now shared a look at a new movie poster. As you can see Sonic and his friends are all featured, along with Eggman, Gerald Robotnik, and of course, the "ultimate lifeform" Shadow the Hedgehog. You can also see Shadow on his bike!

Sega has also used this opportunity to remind Sonic fans tickets will go on sale in "one week" (at least in the US).

In some other Sonic 3 news recently, it's been revealed...spoiler alert...there will be another character reveal at the end of the latest movie. At this point in time, there's been no mention of a fourth outing, but it sounds like more adventures could be on the way!

The runtime for the third outing has also been confirmed, placing it in between the length of the first and second movie. AMC Theatres also shared a description last week of Sonic 3:

"Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the big screen this holiday season in his most thrilling adventure yet. Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet."

I graduate from university next month and we are going to go see the movie to celebrate! It ain't much but it's what we can afford. Super excited

I can't wait for this movie 😍 (I'm so freaking excited for this since I'm a fan of the sonic series and shadow as a character. )

I'm not crazy about this poster design. It looks visually very busy. It seems more like a fan-made Photoshop edit than an official poster, but that's just me. Looking forward to it though, nonetheless!

I can’t state enough how excited I am for this, I’m just counting the days away lol. I feel like this movie has the chance to outdo the previous two; one thing I like is how as the movies go on, they start to feel more like the Sonic games with their plots and setting by introducing more characters and implementing elements from the games into the original content the movies have.

I’m trying to imagine Shadow in the Ugly Sonic art style.

Very excited for this movie, but this poster is not good. That Photoshop sure is something.

@obijuankanoobie Congratulations, it's a very special moment!

Poster looks nice. Love Shadow and the second movie was decent, so I'm cautiously optimistic about it.

Never a fan of posters that repeatedly show the same characters unless it’s done in a very stylistic way that makes each instance look different.

I’m sorry to sound so negative, but the poster is pretty bad… Very crowded with characters even repeating, like they couldn’t make a decision what to show.

@8bit-Man Would you rather they also make room for the human characters in there too?

@Not_Soos the design is basically a totem pole in effect. Typical use of verticality for a movie poster, but not very interesting. I’m sure any interesting drafts were rejected by management in favor of vanilla

Honestly super shocked a 3rd movie is already about to come out. Never would have thought there would be success with sonic movies. Especially after the reveal of the first lol. That moment feels so recent. Maybe I’ll try and watch them
