Palworld Announces Surprise Collaboration With Terraria
"Happening in 2025"
by Liam Doolan · Nintendo LifePalworld may be in the firing line of Nintendo, but it's still going about its usual business with new announcements, updates, and now collaborations.
In the latest development, Palworld developer Pocketpair has announced it's teaming up with the action-adventure sandbox game Terraria. There are no details about what exactly to expect from this crossover, but it's coming at some point in 2025.
Although you can't play Palworld on Switch, Terraria is available on the hybrid system and has also been released on past Nintendo platforms. In our latest review, we awarded this title seven out of ten stars calling it a "fine Switch port".
Similar to Palworld, Terraria has also been compared to certain titles that inspired it and helped pave the way. Although it is admittedly a bit different for Palworld after Nintendo filed a lawsuit against developer Pocketpair in September.

@KidSparta
Of course they do, they retweeted Pocketpair's announcement themselves.
Terraria's had a number of crossovers too, such as Don't Starve, and Dungeon Defenders 2 being the most prominent.
Holly sh@t! They actually don't give f@ck about the lawsuit!
Terraria is a massive flop and Pal World is the next Among Us or Suika Game, aka a fad.
Don't get me wrong, it has/will have very high highs but those low lows are coming soon enough.
@Dee123 You don't know what these words mean. Terraria has been going strong for over a decade, it's had physical toys on market shelves, and has been ported to everything under the sun, even the 3DS. Terraria is doing incredibly well and has been since 2011, to the point where even when official support ended, it continued to be so successful they came back and continued to update it again.
Palworld has already slipped past being FOTM, we are currently in those "low lows" you speak of and yet they're on a hotstreak with updates and collabs.
Please don't use words you don't actually understand.
I looked on the switch eshop but I can't find palworld anywhere? Did it get taken down? I keep seeing a bunch of articles about this game on nintendolife so I was going to give it a try on my nintendo switch but I can't seem to find it.
@Dee123 Terraria sold like almost 60 million units lol
@weisske Palworld is not on Switch and probably never will be. The articles are all about how Nintendo has filed lawsuits against the developers of Palworld. Even if that wasn't happening, it probably would not get ported because a 3D open world game running on unreal engine 5 would melt your console. You'll need a PC, an Xbox, or a PS5 to play it. It actually says in this very article that Palworld is not available on Switch lol.
I’m surprised a big name like Terraria wants to be involved with a company that has such a dubious reputation.

Why should Pocketpair care about the outcome of the lawsuit before its conclusion?
Anyway, didn't see this collaboration coming, curious to see what it will consist of in both games!

Yikes. That's not a good wagon for hitching.
@weisske As far as I'm aware, Palworld can be found on PC, PS5 and Xbox.

Terraria is a massive flop? where have you been living all these years? such a ridiculous statement to come out with.
@weisske you are valid. I didn’t miss your joke, brother

In my theory, which I have already repeated, this lawsuit is just a "smoke screen" that Nintendo wanted to make, and it simply lets time pass so that it becomes irrelevant, and why?
As I have already mentioned and we have seen:
-The lawsuit is quite poor, even with what Nintendo is asking for, gosh, Nintendo always seeks to annihilate the opponent in its lawsuits, and here it is just like a small fine.
-The lawsuit is so arbitrary that, on Nintendo's side, they remain silent about the reason, and for Pocket Pair, they do not say exactly what the reason is.
-And this is the most notorious, we see that with Palworld, everything continues as if nothing happened; In the event of a lawsuit, the denfendant, although, as they mention, can continue without problems, normally they already take caution, but here, they literally go into "Don't care" mode.
I have a feeling that they want to do a negotiation "down the table" since due to the issue that exists due to the discontent with Palworld in Japan, the only way would be like this, through a lawsuit where these negotiations can be done, but I repeat, it is my theory, if somewhat strange, but that is how I see it.

@SakuraHaruka Could be, but of course at the end of the day we'll just have to see how this lawsuit evolves to know for sure!
This is awesome. I wish we could get a Switch port of Palworld. It’s such a breath of fresh air in the monster catching genre.

@8bit-Man I was thinking the exact same thing. Why would anyone want to team up with such a sleazy company?
