Super Nintendo World: Donkey Kong Country Entrance Revealed, Here's A Look
As the "highest tier" guests get an early tour
by Liam Doolan · Nintendo LifeEarlier this month, Nintendo finally lifted the lid on Super Nintendo World's expansion Donkey Kong Country. It's scheduled to open next month on 11th December 2024 and ahead of the big launch, Universal has revealed the entrance and welcomed the first guests to the park.
As highlighted by our friends at VGC, some of the park's "highest tier annual pass holders" have had the opportunity to visit the park early. Here's a look at these guests entering this new section and the new entrance (which was not featured in the official Nintendo Direct broadcast earlier this month).
Donkey Kong Country is an extension of Super Nintendo World, where you'll be able to explore an area themed around the Donkey Kong series. This includes food, games, rides and merchandise exclusive to this area. There are also Donkey Kong-themed Power-Up Bands!
You can see more of Super Nintendo World's Donkey Kong Country expansion in our gallery. Below are few shots (featuring Shigeru Miyamoto) of what it looks like entering this tunnel and also what you'll see on the other end when you exit it:

I want to see the whole minecart ride experience on YouTube, and then finally experience it 5+ years from now when Epic Universe isn't the hottest new thing.
I love that it is named Super Nintendo World. The Super Nintendo is still the best console of Nintendo imo. I wish this would come to Europe, a holiday to Japan or US isn't the cheapest thing to do.
i still find it weird how despite how important the DK legacy is for both mario and nintendo as a whole, its last game was in 2014
so we see the franchise live on through movie appearances, lego sets, a theme park area, ect. but a new game is somehow not on the priority yet lol
@1UP-HUSKY there is a chance of a universal theme park being built in UK.

@boxyguy it’s a strange one. Out of the last 5 DK games it’s only been just 2 games.. something’s broken there
Outside of the DK hut the presentation doesn’t look that interesting. Certainly nothing I’d pay to witness myself I don’t think
@1UP-HUSKY would not recommend coming to the states for a good long while. we're a mess.

Lovely, hopefully I'll be able to visit Japan at some point and when I do I definitely want to go to Super Nintendo World (although I also have my fingers crossed one will eventually open here in Europe, too)!
If I had bothered imagining what a Donkey Kong Country theme park entrance would look like, it would have been pretty much that.
My favorite part of the Donkey Kong game is shuffling around hundreds of other player characters holding their plastic Nintendo toys looking for somewhere to sit down

@NinChocolate It's not like it's the only attraction in the whole park. 😉
