Deacon Blue drummer and TV presenter Dougie Vipond was on hand to flick on the Christmas lights at Andy Murray’s luxury hotel near Dunblane.

Dougie, who lives in nearby Bridge of Allan, turned on the festive lights at Cromlix, at Kinbuck, alongside the Dunblane Boys Brigade and a host of locals for the big switch-on on Friday night.

The hotel boasts a huge Christmas tree at its entrance to get guests in the festive spirit.

Dougie, who hosts BBC farming and countryside show Landward, joined the Boys’ Brigade for some season carols as onlookers munched down on mince pies and drinks to mark the occasion.

Tennis star Sir Andy and his wife Kim purchased the hotel back in 2014.
