Saturday Kitchen viewers have expressed their discontent and are boycotting the show due to a mix of guests featured last Saturday. The programme, hosted by Matt Tebutt on November 16 from 9.30am, faced backlash particularly over Josh Widdicombe's appearance.
Nigella Lawson's cameo also sparked criticism. One Twitter user declared, "I'm off because clearly they're not showing a Nigella clip. No idea what they're up to," Another viewer was irked by the discussion of 'stiff peaks', commenting, "When Nigella talks about stiff peaks then fair enough. When Dave Myers' says it God rest his soul...it's just not cricket."
A demand for Nigella's return was made with a humorous threat: "I want Nigella's peaks next week or I'm protesting with the farmers. #SaturdayKitchen" Complaints continued as one person pointed out, "Very disappointed, Josh is AF and Veggie but you still serve alcohol and meats. Just wish it would be all AF and vegetarian."
Others criticised Widdicombe's humour: "#SaturdayKitchen Josh Widdicombe is about as funny as a visit to the dentist. Or stepping on a fresh dog turd."

The sentiment was echoed with, "#saturdaykitchen there are many, many, many things that are funnier than Josh Widdicombe" and another viewer joked about the difficulty of getting a dental appointment: "#saturdaykitchen bad analogy, going to the dentist is quite funny as it is so difficult to get an appointment in the first place.", reports Birmingham Live.
Lastly, a comment was made on Widdicombe's BBC earnings: "When he receives his BBC pay cheque for advertising his latest 'tour' for free, and then laughs all the way to the bank? ... #SaturdayKitchen".
Viewers took to Twitter to share their predictions and opinions during the latest episode of #SaturdayKitchen. One wrote: "#SaturdayKitchen what's the betting Josh Widdicombe gets food hell? I don't usually vote, but I'll make the effort today."
Another commented on Josh's humour and voice: "Apart from he's not particularly funny ....you could grate cheese with his voice #saturdaykitchen."
In defence of comedian Josh, someone tweeted: "I'm with Josh re making tea. Bag straight in to the bin. No squeezing as that drains all the nasty bitter tannin flavours in to the cup."
Praise also poured in for the show: "Week after week without fail. Absolutely seamless banter all round the table #SaturdayKitchen."
