Brainteasers are a delightful way to challenge your wits – and optical illusions can work wonders for your mind.
Beyond the fun, it turns out regular brain puzzles can enhance various abilities and sharpen your mind while giving your eyesight a workout too.
Although the mechanics behind brainteasers remain a mystery to scientists, they undoubtedly offer a formidable challenge for your cognitive prowess. A new illusion that's taken TikTok by storm left countless viewers gobsmacked.
But what exactly does it reveal to you? In a recent upload, Lori Greiner put her 2.2million followers through their paces. Without hesitation, she invites viewers to fixate on "the black dot at the centre of the rainbow".
She added: "Keep looking at it, count for 15 seconds." Following those moments, you must then glance upwards at the ceiling and blink rapidly.
Her concluding remarks promise an awe-inspiring sight: "Once you blink, you're going to see something really cool if you like what you see, share it with a friend."
Since Lori unveiled the optical trick, it swiftly went viral, scooping up an impressive 8,600 likes and generating over 1,700 comments. Reactions were mixed but mostly of wonder, with one person exclaiming: "Omg, I saw a small rainbow."
Another confessed to seeing a panda, while a third commented simply: "Super cool." Among the amazed responses, some took a humorous view, with a user quipping: "Dang, what in the hell is that chewing gum doing up there?"
Yet not everyone experienced the magical vision – with a baffled TikTok user remarking: "I must be strange, I see nothing." So, what did you make of the optical illusion? Drop your thoughts below...
Looking for another optical illusion? Previously, only people with the eyes of a hawk can spot three geckos hiding in plain sight. At first glance, the Reddit post above may seem like a straightforward picture of a stone wall.
But, despite appearances, there's actually something else concealed within the image. Hidden among the rugged stone pattern are three geckos that blend seamlessly with the colour of the surface they're perched on.
