A British Airways flight attendant has come under fire for an insensitive revelation concerning the late Liam Payne.
According to reports, the cabin crew member was on duty during the flight that repatriated Payne's body from Buenos Aires to Britain, reports the Mirror.
The 31-year-old had tragically died after falling from his hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 16 October, suffering severe injuries which led to "internal and external haemorrhage". Despite the airline's strict confidentiality protocols, it is alleged that the attendant breached these rules by disclosing to their online audience that Payne's coffin was aboard the aircraft leaving Buenos Aires on 6 November.
"Just been told we're carrying a coffin with us today," was the message purportedly sent to the attendant's online followers, followed by the revelation, "To then find out it's Liam Payne's body and his family are on our flight too, heart-breaking."
Sources informed The Sun that as a consequence of these actions, the flight attendant has been suspended by British Airways.
The spokesperson for the airline conveyed to the Mirror: "We are investigating this matter so it would be inappropriate to comment further."
After a tragic incident involving a flight attendant's social media activity came to light, sources expressed shock and dismay. They said: "This stewardess cares more for her online social media following than her job. She has been brought to the attention of bosses due to previous posts. It is a serious data breach, not to mention a callous and heartless move to tell the world of Liam's final journey for the good of her online following."
Christian Oliver was remembered earlier this week in Buckinghamshire where he was laid to rest, close to an area he had previously called home.
Liam's grieving parents, Karen and Geoff, along with his sisters Ruth and Nicola, and Cheryl Tweedy, his ex-girlfriend and mother of his young son, attended the solemn service. Insiders noted that despite the remembrance of his generous deeds and lovable nature at the stunning Amersham church, there remained an "unfathomable loss".

Observers recounted to the Mirror how Liam's former One Direction bandmates presented a united front amid their visible sorrow, and Simon Cowell, sketched with grief, spent time comforting those who were mourning, offering support and empathetic words during this profoundly difficult time.
Liam's family ensured that the funeral service was a fitting tribute to the singer, incorporating personal touches alongside traditional floral displays and candles. As mourners entered the Buckinghamshire church, they were greeted by a unique floral arrangement depicting bowling pins being struck by a ball - a nod to Liam's well-known love of bowling, which he celebrated on his 31st birthday on 29th August this year.
Many of the cars arriving at the church sported Batman stickers on their windshields, a black bat against a white background, reflecting Liam's documented fascination with the enigmatic superhero, which some fans described as an "obsession".
