'Poshest' Wetherspoons has been compared to something out of Bridgerton

A woman was left in awe when she discovered a Wetherspoons that looked just like it belonged in the Bridgerton TV series. When you see the interior, you'll understand why

Since its debut on Netflix, Bridgerton has sparked a global trend for its distinctive Regency aesthetic.

This is why it's no surprise that one woman was utterly captivated upon discovering an impressively grand Wetherspoons. Emma Taylor, famed for her TikTok tours of London's must-see spots, believes she's stumbled upon the "most Bridgerton Wetherspoons in London".

The moment you lay eyes on it, the resemblance is unmistakable. The interior boasts elegance, sophistication and appears regal enough to host Lady Bridgerton herself.

This particular establishment, known as Hamilton Hall, takes its name from Lord Claud Hamilton, the former chairman of the Great Eastern Railway Company (18931923), the original builders of Liverpool Street station.

Moreover, this pub once served as the ballroom for the Great Eastern Hotel, which means it's layered with history. The pub's website notes that the building's historic design elements are still present on the ceilings and walls, and they are regularly maintained.

The detailing is so elaborate that every feature stands out distinctly, complemented by bold strokes of gold that lend an extra touch of class to the decor. With such cinematic flair, it's no wonder Emma feels it would seamlessly blend into the world of Bridgerton.

Her sentiment is echoed by many who were equally mesmerised by the video showcasing the venue. So far, more than 300 people have liked it, with many sharing their admiration for how "beautiful" it looks.

One individual commented: "Very chic." Another echoed the sentiment, adding: "Beautiful." A third chimed in: "Next year's library." And another jokingly added: "Loving the camera angles. No hint of a Spoons plate anywhere."

The brief footage concentrated on the venue's most stunning aspects, rather than stereotypical Spoons decor. But people should probably be mindful that they'll still see punters sipping on beers and tucking into curries when they visit!
