Jann Arden comes to Vernon

Jann Arden is coming to Vernon this Christmas season.

The Juno award winning artist is coming to the Kootenays and Okanagan for a special holiday tour, “A Jann Arden Xmas.”

She’s performing at the Vernon Performing Arts Cent on Nov. 23 and then Key City Theatre in Cranbrook on Nov. 26.

Tickets for both shows are on sale now, Vernon tickets can be purchased by calling 250-549-7469 or by going online. Cranbrook tickets can be purchased by calling 250-426-7006 or by going online.

Organizers suggest buying tickets in advance to ensure a seat in the crowd as she performs songs from her album “A Jann Arden Xmas.”

Arden is an Albertan singer who catapulted onto the Canadian music scene in 1993 with the release of her debut album “Time for Mercy” featuring the hit single “I would Die for You”.

Her career breakout single came a year later with “Insensitive” from the album “Living Under June”. To date she’s released 14 albums and has had 19 top ten singles.

Arden has also received eight Juno Awards including Female artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. She is also the recipient of 10 SOCAN awards, four Western Canadian Music awards, a Much Music Video award, three Prairie Music Awards, and an Alberta Recording Industry Association Award.

Arden is also the proud recipient of a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame, and in 2012 she was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and in 2013, was inducted into the Western Canadian Music Alliance Hall of Fame.
