Canadian artist Sue Foley is headed to Kelowna early next year in support of her new solo acoustic album.

Celebrating the female pioneers of guitar, Foley will perform from her latest album One Guitar Woman at the Metro Hub on March 12, 2025.

Foley brings with her a wealth of experience and a history of abbreviation.

"Foley received her first Grammy nomination for Traditional Blues Album on Nov. 8," Creative Okanagan said in a press release about the event they're putting on.

"She continues to gain recognition as one of the leading figures in the Blues, with One Guitar Woman being more than a tribute."

Creative Okanagan said Foley absorbs their style and inhabits the soul of the music. Her guitar work is so deep and natural that it seems to rise from the same roots that gave birth to the originals, while her vibrant vocals bring new life to the lyrics and make the songs her own.

Foley has released 13 albums and has garnered several awards, including Traditional Female Artist of the Year at The Blues Music Awards in Memphis four consecutive times.

She was also recently honored with Guitarist of the Year and Blues Act of the Year at the 2023 Austin Music Awards, and the Lifetime Achievement/Blues with a Feeling Award at the 2024 Maple Blues Awards.

General public can purchase early bird tickets starting Friday, Nov. 15 and starting on Boxing Day tickets will be $40, and if tickets remain will go up to $50 on March 5.
