The Vancouver Canucks are in town for a busy training camp, but they took time Thursday to pop by Penticton first responder locations to say some thank-yous and drop off a donation.

They brought a $20,000 cheque from the Canucks for Kids Fund, made out to the BC Burn Fund.

The players in attendance had the chance to meet some of the firefighters at Firehall #201 and at B.C. Ambulance Station #329, and check out the spaces.

The Canucks shared on social media that they wanted to "share our gratitude, swap stories, and learn from the heroes of the community."
