Small structure lost to fire

UPDATE: 4:35 p.m.

One secondary structure has completely collapsed after a fire tore through it on Thursday afternoon in the Penticton's Panorama Ridge area.

Castanet's Chelsea Powrie reports that water tenders are on scene and hoses are being deployed to deal with the smouldering remains.

RCMP and BC Ambulance are on scene in the Upper Carmi area.

Emergency crews are responding to a fire in Carmi on Thursday afternoon.

Heavy black smoke has been visible from much of the city looking east.
