SUITS: LA Spinoff Series Releases First Teaser Trailer That Pays Homage to the Original Show
by Jessica Fisher · GeekTyrantNBC has released the first teaser trailer for their anticipated spinoff series Suits: L.A., which will pick up where the lawyer drama Suits left off.
The first series followed a well-respected and high-powered New York law firm and its employees, and L.A. follows a new group led by Ted Black (Stephen Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who reinvented himself in Los Angeles after joining forces with his old friend, Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt) fifteen years ago.
Their firm specializes in criminal and entertainment law but is now facing a crisis point. The narrative promises to slowly unravel the events that led Ted to leave everything and everyone he loved to start over.
The series also stars Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg, and Troy Winbush, and it was also recently revealed that the original series star Gabriel Macht will be returning to the spinoff for a few episodes to reprise the role of Harvey Specter.
The teaser is just a quick first look at the new show’s aesthetic, but it pays homage to the closely tied original with the familiar opening song, Ima Robot’s “Greenback Boogie.”
Check it out below, and watch Suits: L.A. when it premieres on NBC on February 23, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/PT
