Trailer For The Dark Comedy Crime Thriller SAMSON, Described as "a Shakespearean Reservoir Dogs"

Here’s the trailer for a dark comedy crime thriller titled Samson. The film tells the story of a broken-up couple Emma and Dale (Alice Lee and Ryan Dance), who are forced to work together when they are kidnapped by masked men.

The masked men are named Drew and Joe and the story is told through “a fractured timeline and multiple perspectives.” The film is described as “a comedic tragedy; a Shakespearean Reservoir Dogs with a musical number for good measure.”

The movie comes from director Ruth Du who said in a statement: "Samson is like that sour piece of candy that has that surprise sweetness in the center, all while being wrapped in a shiny foil of a break-up story...

“I love exploring characters who are not what they-seem & unraveling relationships that are complex yet universal. I wanted to make a movie about race without making a movie about race."

This looks like it could be a fun flick. Freestyle Digital Media will release the film direct-to-VOD and DVD on November 29th, 2024.
