ITV Coronation Street spells danger for Lisa Swain after fans 'rumble' evil Kit Green plan
by Angie Quinn · PlymouthLiveCoronation Street's DS Lisa Swain (played by Vicky Myers) was recently seen concealing injuries after she claimed to have been assaulted on the night Joel Deering met his demise.
In a dramatic turn of events, her daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) stumbled upon her mother's bruises in the bathroom. However, Lisa brushed it off, attributing them to a body combat class.
The Detective Sergeant had been diligently working on the murder case of abuser Joel (Callum Lil) but found herself suspended from duty after it emerged she penned a threatening note to Joel shortly before he was killed.
But on Monday (November 11), Swain found herself under arrest by Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) when a can of CS spray was discovered next to the weapon believed to have ended Joel's life.
Swain insisted that her injuries were the result of intervening in an assault and being hit by a car. She also mentioned a hospital visit for cracked ribs, but Kit pressed on with his questioning and decided to hold her overnight, putting Betsy at risk, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Corrie enthusiasts have been piecing together clues to uncover who really killed Joel, with some fans theorising that Swain is innocent and that Kit might be behind her injuries, potentially placing her in peril.
As Swain faces suspension and arrest, there are whispers among viewers that Kit harbours a hidden grudge against her, which could spell trouble. A fan speculated on X, saying: "I still think Kit had something to do with setting up Lisa."
Another viewer commented: "Lisa's 'why are you doing this' and Kit's 'it's nothing personal', actually does feel like a personal attack though #corrie."
A third fan exclaimed: "Oh Kit this is definitely personal, you want to see Lisa rot well she won't let it happen. #Corrie."
One more added: "I'm catching up on yesterdays #Corrie, and obviously, Kit didn't kill Joel, so why was he being such an a** to Lisa and Dee Dee?! Cos it's not like he was covering himself, although he did do something that night clearly..."
