ITV Coronation Street axes early episode in ITVX schedule shake-up for killer reveal

The special episode will feature a series of flashbacks from the night of the murder, interspersed with police interviews with Kit Green (played by Jacob Roberts).
Viewers will get to see the events leading up to Joel's death (Callum Lil) and witness the moment his killer is revealed. However, fans will have to tune into ITV1 to watch the drama unfold, as it won't be available on ITVX beforehand.
ITV recently changed its release schedule for both Coronation Street and Emmerdale, with new episodes now available on ITVX each morning at 7am. While the episodes still air on ITV1 in the evenings, the change was made to give viewers more flexibility.
But for this Friday's special episode, fans will have to wait until it airs on ITV1.
After the episode, Coronation Street Live - Killer on the Cobbles will air at 9pm on ITVX, where soap expert Sharon Marshall will chat with the actors involved in the gripping storyline, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The actors will delve into their roles in this gripping narrative that has traced Lauren's (Cait Fitton) vanishing and mistreatment, Joel's deceit, Dee-Dee's (Channique Sterling-Brown) sorrow, and the killing of her former partner.
Audiences will have the opportunity to revisit some of the pivotal plot developments of Joel's tale as performers discuss those intense off-camera instances, how the episodes were produced, and share their opinions on the outcome.
So, who is responsible for Joel Deering's death? Discover the answer tonight on ITV1 from 8pm.
