Coronation Street’s Carla and Lisa finally sleep together - but she's about to regret it
by Joe Crutchley · PlymouthLiveCoronation Street fans were left cheering as Carla Connor and Lisa Swain finally slept together - but there’s bad news ahead.
Fans will recall that Carla (Alison King) was left heartbroken at the start of the year. Her marriage to Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) came to an end when he left the cobbles.
Since then, Carla has fallen for DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), who she grew closer to amid the Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) investigation. Carla also employed soap newcomer and Lisa’s daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) at the Underworld factory.
It was then teased that romance could eventually be on the cards for Lisa and Carla after a charged moment that saw Carla brush a strand of hair away from Lisa’s face - before the latter quickly made an excuse to leave.
But with it clear both of them are confused about their feelings for each other, things took a dramatic turn for Lisa and Carla this week. After some advice from Ryan (Ryan Prescott), Carla headed back to her flat, where Lisa had spent the night on the sofa, after getting drunk.
Carla then told Lisa not to bother putting on any clothes, walked over and kissed her - and Lisa was quick to reciprocate. Later on, the pair emerged from the bedroom only for Lisa to persuade Carla to come back to the bedroom for round two.
Once they were finished, the fan-favorite couple opened up about their romances, with Carla admitting she kissed girls as a teenager to “titillate the lad she fancied.”
Unfortunately, Lisa’s daughter Betsy was not too happy when she found out about their afternoon delight, even chucking a drink on her mum. And it seems Carla might just regret letting Lisa into her life.
At the end of the episode, a fuming Besty met up with Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) thug brothers, Matty and Logan Radcliffe (Seamus McGoff and Harry Lowbridge, and said she would give them the keys to rob and ransack Carla’s factory.
What’s more, spoilers for next week reveal that Carla is attacked. Upon returning to the factory, Carla is horrified to find the place has been ransacked by an unknown person. As she reaches for her phone to call the police, she is struck on the head and falls to the ground.
It’s fair to say the latest development in Carla and Lisa’s romance got plenty of fans talking. On X, one person gushed: “It's the way I had to PAUSE the episode the moment Carla Connor uttered the words 'don't get dressed' for me. I TOOK A LAP AROUND THE ROOM - I am embarrassed of myself to be quite frank.”
Someone else added: “All I can say right now is thank you @itvcorrie for giving us one of the best episodes I’ve seen, it was handled with so much sensitivity and grace but also passion and fire and I applaud you and Ali and Vicky were absolutely amazing as always”.
A third chimed in: “Carla thinking they were done after one round took me OUT.” Echoing their thoughts, another wrote: “Just as I thought I couldn’t love Carla Connor anymore we get that episode. What a woman, what a character. Bloomin eck.”
