Former I'm A Celeb star shares words of wisdom with Coleen Rooney

A former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here star has shared some words of wisdom with Coleen Rooney as she gets ready for her first appearance in the Australian jungle this weekend. The WAG is joining this year's team of celebs for trials and tribulations in the wild in hopes of winning stars - and, of course, food.

Tony Bellew, who appeared on last year's series of the long-running ITV show, said the "hunger was tough" during his time Down Under. The 41-year-old professional boxer (and Coleen's fellow Scouser) finished second during the 23rd series, only being pipped at the post by TV and radio personality Sam Thompson.

Speaking to Best Offshore Sports Books, Tony said: "I saw Coleen recently. If she’s to go in, she has obviously got my best wishes and I’m wishing her all the very best. We’ve just got to wait now and see where she’s at and how she does.

"She’s a crafty girl. She’s a proper Scouser and everyone should be behind her from my city and not just from my city, from everywhere, because she’s one of the best people you could wish to know. A brilliant mother. She’s on top of the kids.

"Our kids both play in academies so we come across each other often. She’s always there supporting the kids on the sidelines. She’s done a brilliant job, fantastic mother, a brilliant person. And she’s created a lovely family. I’m rooting for her 100%."

Coleen, married to Plymouth Argyle head coach Wayne Rooney, has admitted to feeling anxious about leaving her children behind but says that "with an army of people" supporting the family, she says they're "going to be fine". With heartfelt openness, she posted: "I am really anxious about leaving the kids, that's my biggest thing.

"For weeks and months that's been on my mind. But I've come to terms with it. I've planned and prepped. I've got an army of people - family, friends, school friends - all helping out with the kids. So they are going to be fine, they'll probably have a great time.

"I've prepped, as you can see behind me. That is like literally front and back four weeks of just timetables, football runs, parties. Just everything."

The mum-of-four confessed she is a huge fan of the series, but had been relucted to take a trip Down Under herself because of her family. She explained: "I've just always said 'no' or put it off, because kids have been young, and I've had a lot on. [This year] I just thought 'do you know what? I quite fancy doing it'. I would like to experience it, something different, do something for myself [and] meet new people."
