Two iconic Plymouth areas in 45 throwback photos

Honicknowle and West Park are two areas that share a strong sense of community spirit. In these neighbourhoods, it's common for everyone to know everyone else.

This was particularly true during the 60s, 70s and 80s - if you resided in Duncombe Avenue during this time, you likely knew all your neighbours on a first-name basis. Even today, you might still refer to certain houses by the names of their previous occupants.

In the heart of Honicknowle, there are individuals who continue to live in the house they were born in. If you're one of them, we'd be delighted to hear from you.

We've delved into our archives and unearthed 45 photos of people from Honicknowle and West Park. If you've ever lived in these areas, chances are you'll recognise someone in these pictures.
