National dance fest ‘Bhaav 2024’ to get under way on November 29 in Kochi

Curtains will go up on the second edition of national dance fest ‘Bhaav 2024’ organised by the Kochi Corporation at the Ernakulam Town Hall here on Friday.

The fest will last till December 3. A slew of performances by the Mahakavi Moyinkutty Vaidyar Mappila Kala Academy will mark the inauguration of the fest at 5 p.m. Minister for Social Justice and Higher Education R. Bindu will inaugurate the fest at 6.30 p.m. Mayor M. Anilkumar will preside. T.J. Vinod, MLA, will be the chief guest. This will be followed by a Bharatanatyam performance by actor Asha Sarath from 7.15 p.m. to 8.45 p.m.

The success of the inaugural edition was what encouraged the Corporation to host the latest edition. As in the previous edition, noted artistes from across the country would participate, Mayor M. Anilkumar told a press conference here on Friday.

Dance workshops conducted by acclaimed artistes will be held as part of the fest. Entry to dance fest and workshops will be free.
