Coronation Street's Lisa George addresses appearance as co-star says 'gorgeous' months after soap exit
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsLisa George has responded to fans' comments about her appearance months after her Coronation Street exit as she took to social media with new snaps which quickly caught the attention of her former co-stars.
The actress was seen, after 13 years on the famous street, saying her goodbyes to the cobbles at the end of August as Beth Tinker left Weatherfield. She's now preparing to return to the stage as she plays Fairy Godmother in Cinderella at the Wyvern Theatre & Swindon Arts Centre this Christmas.
But before she headed into panto-land for the festive season, Lisa made sure to get in a quick break and hit the high seas. Taking to Instagram, the former soap star shared images from a cruise in the Caribbean.

She looked fabulous as she posed for the camera while wearing a green dress with matching pink platform heels and a clutch bag and she realised she was on trend with what's happening in the film world.
She captioned the post: "Two weeks at sea was just what the doctor ordered. Loving this cute green and pink combo… it’s giving Wicked vibes #holidayvibes #cruiseship #carribbean #pinkandgreen #wicked #cruiselife."
Lisa's former Corrie co-star Sally Carmen-Duttine, who plays Abi Webster in the ITV soap, was quick to respond as she said: "You look gorgeous Lisa." Nina Lucas actress Mollie Gallagher also replied: "Look amazing." Kel Allen, who previously starred as Laura Neelan in Corrie, posted: "S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G!!"
Sue Devaney, who stars as Debbie Webster in Weatherfield, shared "Glowing in green! Love you and miss you lots xxxxxx," while former on-screen niece Katie McGlynn, who was played Sinead Tinker, in Corrie, commented with a heart-eyed and fire flame emoji.
Lisa was also quizzed in the comments section about her weight loss and the former Dancing on Ice contestant didn't shy away from sharing what worked for her as she responded: "Two years of dieting, went on Low FODMAP diet and started running …"
