Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney flooded with messages after 'my man' update

Claire Sweeny has been flooded with messages as she offered an update on her romance with Ricky Hatton. The Coronation Street star and former boxer went public with their relationship earlier this year.

Despite having known each other for more than two decades, love didn't blossom between Claire and Ricky until they took part in Dancing on Ice 2024 together.

They were suspected of being in a new relationship after being spotted on a series of pub dates throughout spring. Claire and Rick then stepped out on the red carpet together for the first time in May as they enjoyed the first opening night of Manchester's new £365m Co-op Live Arena.

They have since been sharing regular updates on social media as they enjoy time with one another and there latest is seeing them take a trip abroad.

Taking to Instagram on Friday (October 4), Claire shared a snap of herself and Ricky and his close security Karen Rowbottom. Captioning the post, the soap star, who plays Cassie Plummer in Corrie, wrote: "Off to celebrate my man’s birthday in Tenerife @rickyhitmanhatton @miss_speeds_security."

Karen also shared the same snap to her Instagram page and said: "Last one of the year Tenerife Ricks birthday." But it was Claire's post that was flooded with comments as her followers wished them well on their latest break as well as gush over the happy couple.
