How much did BBC Children in Need raise in 2023?

Vernon Kay will present the show alongside stars Rochelle Humes, Ade Adepitan MBE, Mel Giedroyc, Chris Ramsay and Lenny Rush. Meanwhile, Paddy McGuinness will find out the total raised by his Radio 2 Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge, which will see him cycle through three nations and eight counties in aid of BBC Children in Need’s 2024 Appeal.
This year there will also be a special performance from Strictly Come Dancing as the professionals are joined by a mysterious global superstar. Plus, for the first time ever, the BBC Children in Need Choir will feature children from across all parts of the UK who’ve been supported by projects funded by BBC Children in Need.
The show is on BBC One and iPlayer at 7pm tonight - but how much will it raise for some of the most vulnerable kids in the nation?

BBC Children in Need’s 2023 Appeal saw the UK public once again going above and beyond to support children and young people across the UK to thrive, raising an incredible £33.5million during the charity’s 43rd Appeal show.
The charity’s 2023 Appeal show marked the crescendo of this year’s fundraising activities for BBC Children in Need. Presented by Ade Adepitan MBE, Mel Giedroyc, Jason Manford, Chris Ramsey, Lenny Rush and Alex Scott MBE from MediaCity UK, Salford, the 2023 show featured a sparkling array of famous faces to entertain the nation, whilst shining a light on the challenges faced by children and young people across the UK, and the urgent need for support.
The show opened with a very special message from HRH, the Princess of Wales, who delivered a message, saying: “Tonight is about helping to support, champion and empower all children to be the very best they can be, which is crucial for their future health and happiness.
“Our relationships, surroundings and experiences during our earliest years lay the foundations that shape the rest of our lives.”
