BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans 'ill' as Sarah Hadland's exit 'sealed' in show move
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsStrictly Come Dancing fans admitted to being 'mega fuming' as they feared Sarah Hadland's exit was 'sealed' during the latest live show. The actress returned to the ballroom alongside dance partner Vito Coppola on Saturday night (November 23).
The pair made it through to week ten of the BBC One dance contest, which took place in Strictly's usual Elstree Studio ballroom, following their epic Fosse-style couple's choice routine in Blackpool the previous weekend, which saw them finish joint top of the leaderboard.
Sarah and Vito were second out during the latest live show and were seen serving up a sizzling rumba to Chains by Tina Arena. The actress was twirled and dipped by reigning champion Vito before they secured a score of 36 out of a possible 40, the highest for a rumba in the series.
Head judge Shirley Ballas hailed it as the best rumba of the season so far, describing it as a routine that deserved to be in a "major championship". Anton Du Beke agreed, saying it was one of her best performances, but Craig Revel Horwood thought it "lacked chemistry".
The latter's comment left Strictly fans flocking to social media to respond as they defend Sarah and Vito's performance and suggested they should have been awarded the first perfect score of the 2024 series, which was later given to Tasha Ghorui and Aljaz Skorjanec following a beautiful American Smooth.

Shirley who is a world champion for rumba gave it a ten, there was nothing wrong with the dancing so it should’ve been a TEN, I’m so mad #Strictly." @JAS0Ntweets asked: "What is Craig harping on about may I ask? Sarah was "too perfect" last week and now this week she's "too technical?" #Strictly."

@Raq91x fumed: "Sarah can’t win with these bloody judges, she’s now being marked down for being too technically perfect? P**s off. #Strictly." @MunchPudding wrote: "Baffled that this wasn’t a 40! Two 8’s seemed ridiculous! The judges seem harsher on Sarah than anyone else! #Strictly." @alltoojen_xo posted: "Craig saying he couldn’t feel Sarah and Vito’s chemistry bro are you okay you could literally feel it sizzling through the tv #strictly." @slinehan1 added: "No chemistry?! What?! Sarah and Vito had insane chemistry in that rumba!! Craig is ridiculous, he's too harsh on her every week. #Strictly."
Others, however, feared Sarah's exit was sealed before she even performed as she was put in what has been dubbed the 'death slot' as the second out position has proved unlucky for some so far in the competition.
