BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks says 'my winner' as he shows support amid own training update

Pete Wicks has declared his 'winner' - but it has nothing to do with Strictly Come Dancing. The reality star and podcast host is currently preparing for his return to the show's famous ballroom this weekend.

Last weekend, the reality star and podcast host kicked off the latest live show with an elegant tango while dressed in an all-black suit following his pink PVC appearance just seven days earlier.

During their latest stint on the dance floor, Pete guided and dipped his professional partner, Jowita Przystal, across the dancefloor to Easy Lover by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins, which landed them a score of 29 out of a possible 40 points from the judges.

The former TOWIE star is now in rehearsals for week 11 of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, which takes place this Saturday night (November 30), and it has been confirmed that Pete and Jowita will be performing a Waltz to Somewhere from West Side Story when the show returns this Saturday night (November 30).

Offering an update on Thursday (November 28) alongside Jowita after they both made an early morning TV appearance on ITV's Lorraine, Pete took to his Instagram Story with a snap of hismelf and his dance partner and simply said: "We go again..."

He later then showed his support for another star in another TV show. Pete is backed Maura Higgins to be named Queen of the Jungle as she takes part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

The former Love Island finalist was a latecomer to the jungle camp but has since been winning praise from viewers of the ITV reality show. As voting opened for viewers to vote for their favourites ahead of the first elimination on Friday night (November 29), Pete shared a call for votes from those looking atter Maura's social media pages.

The post said: "She can do it! But she needs your help! Vote to keep our Maura in the jungle @imacelebrity @itv." Pete then posted it to his Instagram Story and said: "There she is! My winner... Vote Maura! @maurahiggins." His supports comes amid continued dating rumours between the pair, which they have both denied.
