Rylan Clark addresses 'kicking off' behind-the-scenes while filming show with Rob Rinder

by · Manchester Evening News

Rylan Clark has shared that a particular scene with Rob Rinder, 46, in their show in Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour happened due to him "kicking off" behind-the-scenes.

During the series, the pair took fans along to some of the Italy's greatest art treasures in destinations such as Venice, Florence and Rome.

While the series was based on art, viewers got an insight into the the duo's party side in a scene Rylan says wasn't supposed to be a part of the show.

The 35-year-old explained: "None of it was fabricated, that night out in the bar wasn't supposed to happen.

"It wasn't part of the show. I just kicked off and went 'I'm f*****g going out', we're in Venice where everything shuts at 11 O'clock.

"I haven't had a drink, I need to see a man. I just went mad.

"I just went, 'Right if you want to bring a camera, just one camera, you're more than welcome to but I couldn't give a f**k, I'm going out and he's [Rob] coming with me'."

Refusing to be told otherwise, Rylan said the pair then began getting ready for their evening out still not knowing if somebody from the crew was coming along.

Speaking on the Talk Art podcast, he added: "We went out, it was our night off, we went to this bar, they went, 'Just do us a favour wear two mic packs, and we're gonna send one of the boys with you just for the camera'. We were like, 'Alright no worries'.

"F**k me, it was like a film, how they got the footage of everything that night, it was so lovely."

The presenter went on say it was that night the pair also realised what a good friendship they had.

"That's when things really started to change," Rylan continued.

"We started realising, no we're both here for a reason with each other and that then obviously followed through the series, and will continue on."

According to The Sun, the duo have landed a second series of the hit BBC travel show set, which could return to screens next year.

A source said: "It's at the very early stages and the Beeb haven't fully signed off on the sequel.

"But the team behind the show didn't want to take a gap year before starting work again.

"So they are already looking at where Rob and Rylan's next adventure could take them."
