One of Alan Halsall's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here campmates has been branded 'disrespectful' by one of his pals. The actor is currently taking part in the ITV reality show, which returned to screens earlier this month.

Alan, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street, has been seen settling into camp life under a touch of luxury - by all accounts - after he and N-Dubz singer Tulisa emerged victorious during the I'm A Celeb 2024 opener making them the first camp leaders.

After living in quite happy and harmonious conditions Down Under, the first rumbles of upset came to the forefront over the weekend between Alan and BBC Radio 1 star Dean McCullough.

It came after a huge helping of junk food after latecomers Maura Higgins and Richard Coles' sneaky secret mission and stomach-churning eating trial saw them win a huge treat for the whole camp.

Following their feast, a sleepy Dean decided to take a nap. But with chores still to do, Jane Moore had to go and collect firewood, . She confessed in keeping with camp rules: "I can’t do it on my own". Watching Jane head off on her own, Alan decided to take the reins and wake Dean up so he could help out.

It lead to a slight moody confrontation between the two but they have seemingly squashed any potential beef. But it didn't leave Alan's Corrie co-star Andy Whyment too impressed.

The Kirk Sutherland actor told Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled ITV show on Monday (November 25): "The bit that got me was when he was in the Bush telegraph and basically said, 'I was asleep and wee Tyrone from Coronation Street is standing over me'".

He went on to the the ITV star: "I just thought that was a bit disrespectful. Al's a 42-year-old man and the way Dean was speaking to him was a bit like a child."

Andy, who took part in the show in 2019 then took part in the first-ever I'm A Celeb spin-off last year, also told Lorraine how the one piece of advice he gave to Alan before entering the jungle was to "try and get a bed" as he explained: "For me, sleeping in a hammock was so tough. I really struggled with it."
