BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans 'not convinced' as Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec update divides opinion

Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec have divided fans with their latest news about Strictly Come Dancing. The pair are currently preparing to return to the ballroom this weekend.

The former Love Island star and the professional dancer have found themselves topping the leaderboard six times in the last 10 weeks of the BBC One dance contest so far.

And last Saturday night (November 23), the pair performed an elegant American Smooth. Tasha, who is the show’s second deaf contestant, performed a series of high lifts and dips during their dance to Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi to secure the top score of 40.

Head judge Shirley Ballas praised it as the "Rolls-Royce" of the American Smooth while Craig Revel Horwood described it as "fab-u-lous". Motsi Mabuse hailed it as "perfection" and said Tasha had brought the poignant song to life. Anton Du Beke, who got emotional during the performance, added that this is why dancers perform because of "how it makes us feel".

It was then during Sunday night's (November 24) results show that Tasha and Aljaz's future was confirmed as they made it through to week 11 of the dance programme and will perform during the Musicals Week special.

This week, it was confirmed that Tasha and Aljaz will perform the Argentine Tango to Ex-Wives from SIX during week 11 of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, which also happens to be the show's Musicals Week special.

Following the announcement, while many were excited about their upcoming routine, some Strictly fans were concerned. @aquakerwitch said: "I love Six so much, but I’m not convinced Ex-Wives is right for an Argentine??"
