Jamie Borthwick have made a 'promise' to fans as his Strictly Come Dancing future was confirmed. The EastEnders star provided one of the stand-out moments of the night as the BBC One dance contest broadcast live from Blackpool in its annual special.

The show relocated to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom for its annual special, in which the eight remaining couples took to the famous ballroom floor in a bid to impress the judges and viewers at home.

And it was Jamie who was last out on Saturday night (November 16), which marked week nine of Strictly's 2024 series, and performed a condiment-themed jive to The Ketchup Song by Las Ketchup with his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas.

In simply epic scenes, the actor was lowered onto the stage on a giant ketchup bottle before jumping into his routine, surrounded by back-up dancers dressed up as mustard and tomato sauce bottles, which landed him and Michelle a score of 33 out of a possible 40 points.

As the judges delivered their verdicts on his dance, Motsi Mabuse burst out laughing, telling Borthwick that no one wants to "dance so much as you", calling it a "fantastic way" to end the show. However, Shirley Ballas, Strictly's head judge, criticised the dance for being "overtried just a tad", while praising the "absolute entertainment".

Jamie then later appeared surprised as he and Michelle were confirmed to have made it through to week ten of Strictly's 2024 series during the latest results show on Sunday night (November 17).
