Victoria Beckham responds to surgery claims and says real reason for appearance change is 'clever'

Victoria Beckham has hit back at surgery claims and said the real reason for her appearance change is 'clever' makeup work. The former Spice Girl has often been rumoured to have gone under the knife to change the midsection of her face over the course of her career.

But fashion designer Victoria has insisted that has never been the case, and she has only ever turned to the makeup technique of contouring to alter the appearance of her nose.

Speaking during an appearance on 'The Today Show' on Monday (December 16), she said: "I have to say, there’s been a lot of people in the past that have said to me that I’ve had some kind of surgery on my nose. I have never, ever, ever, ever...No, never. It’s clever contouring."

The 50-year-old star explained just how she achieves such a look with simple cosmetics and admitted that it is all in an effort to make her nose appear "longer and straighter" in the end.

She said: "So I'm literally going to draw two lines down either side of my nose to really shade down the sides. What this is going to do, is when I blend it with my nose or my fingers, it's going to give the illusion of a longer, straighter nose."

The mum-of-four, who is married to former Manchester United footballer David Beckham, has previously tried to insist that she has never had any work done on her nose.

Speaking in a video with beauty guru Charlotte Tilbury in 2022, she explained: "People have also said that I’ve had a nose job. Never had a nose job. Always had a nose like this. It is the nose trick.

Victoria - who was known as Posh Spice during her heyday with the Wannabe hitmakers - did have breast implants in many years ago but recently shared her regret over that decision. She told Allure magazine: "If I'm honest, I wish I’d never [gotten implants]. It was a moment in time, and I think I can share my experiences with her. But we’re not there just yet.”
