Woman rushed to hospital after being hit by vehicle on Greater Manchester road

A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Tameside. Emergency services were called out to Cheetham Hill Road, in Dukinfield, at around 5pm on Friday (November 15).

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) says the woman was treated by paramedics at the scene. She was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

Crews worked at the scene until around 6pm. A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “Just before 5pm last night (Friday, November 15), one fire engine from Stalybridge fire station was called to reports of a woman being hit by a vehicle on Cheetham Hill Road, Dukinfield.

"The crew arrived quickly at the scene. Firefighters treated a woman at the scene, before she was taken to hospital by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.

"Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour.” Greater Manchester Police has been approached for further information.
