ITV I'm A Celebrity fans say 'they've figured him out' as they urge viewers to 'stop'
by Miranda Pell · Manchester Evening NewsITV I'm A Celebrity 2024 fans said Ant and Dec have figured one campmate out after he was voted to take part in the latest Bushtucker trial.
Dean McCullough has been voted to do the majority of the trials during this year's I'm A Celebrity so far. And in yesterday's episode he took home nine out of 12 stars during a trial he did with WAG and campmate Coleen Rooney.
He was also voted to take part in the latest trial on Monday night, Jack and the Scream Stalk, in which he had to climb up scaffolding and to a high platform where he had to retrieve stars from boxes.
He managed to grab 10 out of 12 stars to bring home meals for the camp, which has surprised viewers after he has previously shouted "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" to exit Bushtucker trials.
Even Dean's fellow camp mates were shocked by the result with former featherweight champion Barry McGuigan saying: "He screams, he shouts and he's over dramatic but he is a trooper."
Despite earning 10 stars, fans took to social media to express how they are frustrated by hearing him scream each night - with Ant and Dec even telling Dean that viewers might keep voting for him because of his screaming.
Writing on X, one viewer wrote: ‘"Screaming gets you all the trials’ oh lord they have all figured dean out", and another said: "Dean is putting on an act, get as much air time as he can by pretending to be scared and screaming so he get voted for every trial."
Another added: "Dean is very selective with his screaming", while one user commented: "The amount of trials you’ve done Dean. Why you still screaming".
Fans are urging other viewers to stop voting for Dean so they can see some variety. Someone said: "Now please stop voting Dean for the trials." And another person agreed: "Dean did great in the task stop voting for him".
There has been some tension brewing in the camp over recent days, including Dean getting all the campmates punished by sneaking in teabags. Melvin Odoom, Maura Higgins and Rev Richard Coles won cupcakes for the camp, but they got halved as punishment for Dean's contraband.
Dean has already had a run-in with boxer Barry as well as Corrie's Alan Halsall.
