Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd distracts fans as he undergoes major change amid demand

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has caused a distraction among fans before being issued with a demand. The actor was among the cast of the ITV soap sending their well wishes to Alan Halsall as he headed into the jungle.

The actor, famed for playing Weatherfield's Tyrone Dobbs, has headed down under to take part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here 2024 alongside a string of other famous faces having had to pull out of last year's series due to having surgery for an ACL injury.

In a post on the official Corrie social media channels, some of Alan's co-stars were seen issuing messages of support to Alan. Liam McCheyne who plays Weatherfield's Dylan Wilson, kicked off by saying: "All the best for the jungle, mate. You'll absolutely smash it, have a great time and I'll see you when you're back. Take care."

Steve McDonald star Simon Gregson was also heard saying: "I hope you win, mate. I hope you're going to be the new king of the jungle. I reckon you will be, I love you loads absolutely smash it. Can't wait for you to come back home."

Sue Devaney, who plays Debbie Webster, recorded her messages alongside a basket of treats Alan won't have any access to whole on basic rations in camp, while Jack, famed for playing David Platt on the cobbles, said: "Alan, Jack. Wishing you the best of luck on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

"You won't see this but it will make me happy knowing that I've sent this message saying, all the best, good luck, you'll smash it. Make sure you win. You're my winner anyway. Always have been!"

But Jack's new hair caused a distraction as fans responded to him undergoing the chop. His message also left some demanding he become a campmate next year.

Marc Dorrian said: "David have finally had an haircut and if suits him." Tracy Thomas commented: "Good luck Alan and is anyone else happy jack has had a hair cut lol." Carol Ann Mary Blackler wrote: "Good luck Alan. Gosh I love Jack's hair." Jacqueline Thompson replied: "I like Jack's hair like that, suits him. Good luck Alan."

Laura Croft posted: "I think Jack P Shepherd should go in next year!" Jason Parry shared: "Jack P Shepherd needs to go in next year, He'll be hilarious." Hazel Tweddle added: "I'd love to see Jack p shepherd in there he'd be brilliant!!!"
