Emmerdale icon's return 'sealed' as fans 'expose' who Peter is working with to take down Kim
by Joe Crutchley · Manchester Evening NewsEmmerdale viewers believe they have cracked the mystery of who Kim Tate's solicitor, Peter, is conspiring with in an attempt to bring her down - and it appears to be a former resident of the Dales.
Peter (played by David Michaels) arrived in the Dales this year, amidst the tumultuous breakup between Kim and Will (portrayed by Dean Andrews). In an effort to protect her wealth from Will, Kim enlisted the services of financial advisor Peter.
The two ended up in bed together in a ploy to incite jealousy in Will, a plan that succeeded when he angrily confronted Peter. However, Kim recently decided to end their feud and proceed with a divorce, a decision Will also agreed to.
In a surprising twist, Will was later seen meeting with Peter. It was then disclosed that the two had been secretly collaborating for months on a scheme to topple Kim.

Despite initially being part of the plot, Will had a change of heart and called off their plan. But Peter, seeking revenge, threatened to expose Will's actions to Kim if he backed out, reports Leeds Live.
Adding to the intrigue, during Tuesday's episode (26 November), Peter showed up at Home Farm to inquire about the situation. Will confessed that he had changed his mind and intended to strip Kim of all her assets, prompting Peter to suggest they toast to the news.

However, after Will left the room, Peter made a secretive and somewhat enigmatic phone call to an unidentified individual. It was revealed that Peter was merely manipulating Will as a pawn, alongside another person, in their shared mission to ruin Kim - with the unknown party seemingly intent on her downfall.
Now, fans are convinced they've cracked the case on who Peter was talking to - and it's set to be a bombshell moment for Kim. On an Emmerdale fan group on Facebook, one viewer questioned: "Who was Peter on the phone to?"

The comments section was swamped with speculation that Kim's son Jamie (portrayed by Alex Lincoln) might be the mysterious caller. One fan commented: "Jamie maybe."
This theory resonated, with another adding: "Kim's son is behind it, Jamie." A third speculated: "Imagine if it was Jamie Tate."
Viewers last saw Jamie on their screens in 2021 when he staged his own demise in a dramatic car crash scene. While Kim has been mourning the loss of her son, believing him to be deceased, Jamie has been discreetly residing with his daughter Millie and her grandmother.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
