Coronation Street's Dee-Dee Bailey star says 'before you ask' as she addresses DS Lisa Swain

The actresses have had a lot of scenes together of late playing Dee-Dee Bailey and DS Lisa Swain in the ITV soap. As fans of the show know, the pair ended up joining forces to bring down Dee-Dee's ex-fiancé Joel Deering after his grooming of Lauren Bolton was uncovered.
They were seemingly on the way to getting some kind of justice after they both managed to get evidence that Joel had bought the drugs used to induce Lauren's early labour with son Frankie, with the intention of causing her to miscarry.

Joel's disappearance was then revealed after he failed to show his face in court. In the ITV soap scenes aired at the end of September, a warrant was issued for Joel's arrest as he was seemingly set to face his comeuppance for his twisted crimes, which included grooming Lauren Bolton.
But, after transferring money to Lauren, how the mother of his son Frankie and his ex-wife Emily, and leaving an emotional voicemail for his former fiancée Dee-Dee Bailey, Joel's car was found abandoned and it was believed Joel may have ended up taking his own life.
However, the police investigation soon turned to solving Joel's murder after his body was found floating down a river and it was then confirmed he'd been killed with a heavy weapon before entering the water.
Weatherfield's biggest 'whodunnit' was then underway and Corrie fans had to wait until Friday night's (November 15) episode of the ITV soap to finally discover the truth about Joel's death after weeks of flashbacks to that fateful night, which saw several Weatherfield residents put in the frame.
It revealed that Joel's final night alive was an eventful one. After Ronnie and Ed Bailey went after him with a crowbar, he was attacked by scorned ex Dee-Dee, threatened by Kit and pushed into the river by Max. But not before Lauren had delivered the killer blow amidst the train track confrontation.

Amidst the dramatic scenes, Channique took part in a Q&A on Instagram and while she was asked about her character and saying goodbye to working with Joel actor Calum Lill, fans also couldn't help but ask the soap star whether she is liking working with DS Swain actress Vicky Myers.
Sharing a picture of the pair in a scene together, Channique gushed: "I loooove working with this queen! @vicksmyers is a gorgeous soul and such a wonderful addition tot h cast! We always felt Dee-Dee and Awain had a bit of tension previously so we loved it when they teamed us up (even though they now keep falling out lol)."
She then added an extra message about the storyline everyone is talking about - Swain's blossoming romance with Carla Connor, and said: "And before any of you ask, I am obvs rooting for Swarla."
