"It's everyone's worst nightmare": Heartbreaking tributes to 'beautiful' mum found dead after going missing

Jane Burton's body was found after a desperate search on Tuesday (November 12). She had been reported missing from the Walkers Drive area at around 2am.
A major search to find Jane, originally from the Cheshire area, was carried out throughout the day, with emergency crews and police helicopters searching Pennington Flash and nearby woodland.

Police later confirmed that officers searching for Jane found a body later on Tuesday. The force said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and that her family were being supported by specialist officers.
In a public tribute on Facebook, her son Matt wrote: "I still can’t believe this is happening. It’s anyone’s worst nightmare. I just want to thank everyone who helped search for my beautiful mum at Pennington Flash today, it made me so proud of our community.
"The outcome feels like my hearts been ripped out. You were my best friend, my confident, drinking buddy and just the best mum I could have asked for. You had friends who adored you, nieces and a nephew that idolised you. You were so special."

Other tributes also flooded social media, as one friend wrote: "Still so shocked and lost for words, I watched the helicopter this afternoon, never in a million years did I think it was for you. I literally only saw you last week.
"I'll miss our chats, they were always full of laughter and funny stories, you always made my day, you thought the world of your sons, and talking about our two youngest children as they were in the same year and same school. Rest in peace you beautiful soul, you were such a lovely lady."
As another penned: "Such a lovely lady, Jane was the life and soul of all our Saturday nights at Walkers Drive. I hope you find peace."
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We can confirm that officers searching for missing Jane sadly found her body. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
"Specialist officers are supporting her family at this difficult time. Our thoughts remain with Jane's family and a file has now been passed to the coroner's office."
