ITV I’m A Celebrity fans say they’re ‘muting’ show as they ‘avoid’ annoying feature
by Liv Clarke · Manchester Evening NewsI’m A Celebrity fans warned that they would be ‘muting’ tonight’s show and ‘turning the volume down’ as Dean McCullough and GK Barry take part in a bushtucker trial. It’s only been a few days since the celebrities arrived in the jungle, but already fans have noticed a common habit shared by Radio 1 presenter Dean and podcaster Grace.
The new series of the ITV show started on Sunday evening when the ten celebrities took part in challenges on the way to camp. Grace was particularly vocal when she faced the initial challenges, and the public predicted she’d face the first bushtucker trial - which she did.
Even though she picked up a total of nine tsars during Vile Volcano, she screamed the entire time. Then during Tuesday night’s show fans begged her to ‘stop’ screaming after she reacted to a leech on her finger.

Meanwhile Dean has also gained a reputation for panicking during trials; he had to utter the famous phrase ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ during his bushtucker trial. So when it was announced that the pair would be facing a bushtucker trial together, fans braced themselves for a noisy reaction.

The pair had to compete in Drown in the Dumps, which involves being in tanks placed on top of one another. The two celebrities had to work together to retrieve keys to unlock the 10 stars for camp.
Ahead of the trial, fans of the show posted on X as they prepared for the ‘screaming.’ @Itt39354118 wrote: “Gonna keep my finger on the mute button gonna be lots of screaming” @nikkimol added: “Bring on this trial however volume will be low to avoid headache from all the screaming.”
@fuzzybeepants posted: “If anyone has any precious glass in your living room maybe move it before this trial starts We about to hit some dolphin pitched screams” and @justj235 said: “I'm turning the telly down. Or someone outside will think people are getting tortured.”
But one fan said the pair make for “brilliant television”. @RyanJL said: “What I love is that a week ago so many people would've been like 'Dean who?', 'GK who?' and now here they are topping the votes and being genuinely brilliant television.”
