Netflix sends Sabrina Carpenter fans into frenzy with huge announcement

Netflix has announced a new musical Christmas performance starring Sabrina Carpenter, sending fans into a frenzy.

‘A Nonsense Christmas’ will showcase pop icon Carpenter performing songs from her holiday EP ‘Fruitcake’ and other chart-topping holiday covers. The show will also feature guest performing artists, comedic cameos, and unexpected duets.

The show will feature duets with Chappell Roan, Tyla, Shania Twain, and Kali Uchis, and will also include appearances from Nico Hiraga, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele, and Jillian Bell.

The streaming giant posted a teaser on X and wrote: “The naughty list is short n’ sweet this year. A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter is coming to Netflix on December 6 at 9pm”

Fans have flooded the comments on X, expressing their excitement for Carpenter’s Christmas special. Someone wrote: “I will be waiting for it”.

One X user wrote: “Christmas is coming early this year”, and another person said: “Looking forward to December 6 for some Sabrina Carpenter holiday magic, it's bound to be a memorable 'nonsense' Christmas.”

Other comments include: “Looks like Christmas just got a whole lot more fun can’t wait to see Sabrina Carpenter bring the chaos”, and: “MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!”

Sabrina Carpenter has always been a big fan of Christmas. In an interview with Netflix, she said: “The holidays have always been so special to me.

“I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show, infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me.”

Carpenter recently released her sixth album, ‘Short n’ Sweet’, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it the third-biggest first week debut in 2024.

The album was instantly met with an outpouring of critical acclaim from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Variety, plus many more.
