by · Manchester Evening News

Coronation Street star Colson Smith has been told he 'has to stay' in Australia as he confirmed his 'last day' was approaching. The actor ditched the UK last weekend and followed his co-star Alan Halsall Down Under.

While Alan, famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, has entered the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here camp as one of this year's campmates, Craig Tinker actor Colson has been dishing out his thoughts and inside gossip on Alan on the ITV reality show's spin-off, Unpacked.

The soap star first teased fans last week as he shared a video to his Instagram page singing along to 'Down Under' by Australian band Men at Work. Fans rushed to the comments as he captioned the video, "Any guesses where I might be off?"

He's since been seen close to the I'm A Celeb jungle, making nightly appearances on the live spin-off show, I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked, alongside show hosts Joel Dommett, Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers.

Colson's been living I'm A Celeb fans' dream by posing near the famous bridge between the studio and the entrance to the jungle but his Aussie content will soon stop.

He revealed Wednesday's (November 20) episode will be his last before he heads home and the Celebrity Big Brother finalist has set himself the target of getting a picture with the ITV show's main presenters, Ant and Dec, before he heads back to the UK.
